Roca announced this week that Alan Dodds, Managing Director of Roca UK, took home the Special Achievement Award at last week’s illustrious kbbreview Retail & Design Awards.
The awards celebrate the very best retailers, designers and manufacturers in the kitchen and bathroom industry and this year marked their 25th anniversary, making them the longest running and most prestigious awards in the sector. Chosen by the editorial team of kbbreview, the Special Achievement Award is a highly-respected accolade and goes to an outstanding individual who has made a significant contribution to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry.
“Alan is an incredibly important figure in the last 20 years of the bathroom industry in the UK. Roca has become one of the leading companies in the sector in that time, and his personal touch has been instrumental in that achievement,” says kbbreview Managing Editor Andrew Davies. “He’s managed to do it by building rock solid relationships across all areas of the market and, in the most positive way, he’s done it by being one of the nicest, most affable and reassuringly diplomatic leaders out there. His commitment to the wider success of the bathroom industry has been considerable and he has helped shape some of its most significant initiatives.”
Alan has worked for a number of brands in the building products sector and joined Roca in 1999 as Managing Director. During his tenure the Roca brands – Roca, Laufen, Armani Roca and Cosmic – have emerged as major players in the bathroom sector. The company has achieved year-on-year market growth under his leadership, as its commitment to design, innovation, sustainability and wellbeing continues.
