Café L’oscar to launch Saint & Sinner Afternoon Tea

On Monday 1st April, the opulent yet informal Café L’oscar launched its first Afternoon Tea, offering guests an array of sweet and savoury treats. Following the Saint & Sinner theme of the upstairs cocktail menu at The Baptist Bar, the tea remains inkeeping with the quirky and expert food and beverage offerings throughout L’oscar hotel. Overseen by Executive Chef Tony Fleming, the menu complements the hotel’s decadent style whilst heroing British flavours and ingredients. Served between 15.00 and 17.00 from Monday to Friday, the Saint & Sinner Afternoon Tea offers traditional sweet and savoury bites with a contemporary twist. To start, guests can enjoy Religieuse buns followed by sandwiches filled with the likes of Devilled chicken and Poached salmon, virgin olive oil and beetroot bread. For the sweet treats, delicacies include Adam and Eve’s pudding, Devil’s food cake and Saint Nectaire and blood orange cheesecake, followed by traditional scones with cream and jam. Princess Cruises Introduces La Mer Restaurant by Three Michelin Star French Chef Emmanuel Renaut onboard Sky Princess

Restaurant Opening Marks the First Time the Cruise Line Introduces a French Restaurant to North American Guests Marking the first time in the cruise line’s history, Princess Cruises will introduce a new French restaurant to North American guests. The debut of La Mer by Three-Michelin Star Chef, Emmanuel Renaut, onboard its next new cruise ship Sky Princess, will arrive in Ft. Lauderdale in December 2019 for an inaugural season of Caribbeancruises. Chef Renaut is owner and executive chef of the Flocons de Sel restaurant, located in the French Alps village of Megève. Flocons de Sel was awarded a third Michelin star in 2012, having earned its first in 2004 and a second in 2006. Before establishing the restaurant in 1998, Renaut worked in restaurants including Claridge’s, Hotel de Crillon and Auberge de l’Eridan. He also holds the prestigious title “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” (MOF) which translates to One of the Best Craftsmen of France. Studio Mhna launches Caïus Restaurant

Located near to the Arc de Triomphe, Caïus Restaurant promises to provide guests with a new sensory experience blending cuisine with decor. The culinary inspirations of Jean-Marc Notelet were the inspiration for Studio MHNA in its choice of complimenting materials where spices can be seen in the colour palettes and textures are key. Original carpets and restyled cement tiles are used on the floor whilst the seats are lined with various upholsteries in orange and dark purple tones. Royal China Club

The highly anticipated Stiff and Trevillion designed Royal China Club at 38-42 Baker Street, London W1 reopened on Thursday 9 August 2018. During its four-month renovation the restaurant doubled in size to 180 seats and now encompasses the additional space which was a former building society on the corner plot at the junction of Baker Street and Blandford Street. The restaurant has also acquired five elegant private rooms suitable for group dining for six to twenty guests. Royal China Club has been located on Baker Street for 12 years and its established Head Chef Billy Wong has worked for the restaurant since the opening. For the launch, Billy has created a menu which skilfully blends authentic Chinese dishes with European ingredients. Royal Lancaster London has been awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ Award in the National Afternoon Tea Awards 2018 held on 24 July 2018 at the Hotel Cafe Royal, London. The award ceremony took place in the historic Grade II listed grand Pompadour ballroom, where representatives from the finest hotels and restaurants around the UK gathered to recognise the crème de la crème of Afternoon Tea creativity and service. Guests were invited to indulge in Lanson champagne along with an exclusive tea tasting by Newby, the premier British fine tea company.
