Brentano’s Clearwater Collection Proves to be an Instant Hit at NeoCon

Brimming with people and high-profile design, more than 50,000 industry professionals ascended upon the Merchandise Mart to view the latest and greatest from the design industry’s top manufacturers at the 51st Edition of NeoCon. With a newly renovated showroom and a highly anticipated Fall collection preview, Brentano celebrated their best NeoCon to date! Brentano’s upcoming Clearwater collection captured the attention of judges from both Metropolis and Interior Design, taking home the award for #MetropolisLikes and a distinguished honoree for Interior Design’s HiP Award. Rejuvenating, captivating and wondrous, the Clearwater collection is an entrancing display of nature’s beauty, artfully translated into stunning fabrics, through the vision of Founder and Design Director Iris Wang.  Fascinated by the movement of water, Iris began creating her own studies of water’s behaviour and place in nature; Capturing these images on canvas while traveling led Iris to design many of the serene and beautiful textiles in the collection. Classically trained in Fine Arts, Iris showcased her extraordinary painting skills with an 8-foot centerpiece painting of the collection’s most distinctive textile, Fontaine. Clerkenwell Design Week – A Visitors Review

Clerkenwell Design Week event held 21st-23rd May 2019 This year I ventured to the Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW19) event, a hub for creatives, architects and designers within Islington, London. Armed with a good pair of shoes and a map of the festival I was ready to experience the installations, talks and creative suppliers that bring an area into the spotlight on this already established London design hub. What makes this festival a successful event each year? Well its a case of its ‘in the blood and bricks’ of the Clerkenwell area itself. With a history of attracting skilled craftspeople and artisans dating back from the Industrial Revolution. The current Clerkenwell district is now home to over 100 world-renowned design brands and their showrooms, sitting beside 200 architectural practices. The event itself attracted 34,185* visitors from over 66 countries and these tend to be architects or designers looking for inspiration and sourcing opportunities. For me, it was a chance to look at the latest trends and products that would be featuring within future projects and designs …

Brand new range from Bronte by Moon

As seen at the recent Pulse London 2018 event, Bronte by Moon has released a new range of cushions and throws in eyecatching colours ready for the summer season ahead. Sunshine, Tutti Frutti and Blackcurrant are some of the bold colourways in this collection, available in an array of patterns including contemporary block prints and bold stripes with undertones of teal, fuchsia and hazel. Vibrant pinks, dazzling blues and fiery orange tones are splashed across these cushions and throws ideal, ideal for perking up a garden bench or livening up a reading nook. Bronte by Moon draws on a rich heritage, established in 1837 and still producing ranges from their historic Moon mill in Guiseley, Yorkshire. They are one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in the UK. With this in mind they promote their ‘Made In Great Britain’ whilst providing a mix of modern and traditional patterns and finishes.
